Interesting article in the NYT that the push for more fresh food has turned into a glut of farmers’ markets.
The people involved forget that these are actual farmers and have to travel, etc.
Interesting sidenote is that Westwood has a farmers’ market, and it seems to do just ok. Not sure if the students don’t care about fresh and local, or if the local residents don’t care.
